Kilos of cocaine found on JetBlue planes in Lake City

LAKE CITY, Fla. - Three kilos of cocaine were found on two different JetBlue jets at a hangar in Lake City, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office announced Wednesday.

The total street value for all three kilos of cocaine totals $180,000.

On Wednesday, July 20, a kilo of cocaine was found by HAECO Americas personnel while doing service on a JetBlue A320 aircraft, investigators said.

"We got information from HAECO employees that they had found a brick, which turned out to be a kilo of powder cocaine," CCSO Sgt. Murray Smith said. 

The aircraft had been used on about 360 flights during the last three months before being flown from JFK Airport in New York to Lake City for service. The last destination prior to JFK was a stop in the Dominican Republic. 

Then on Sunday, two additional kilos of cocaine were found on a different JetBlue A320 aircraft in the exact same area as the first. Murray said that aircraft was also flown down from New York to be serviced.

"Now some of it is being sent to Tallahassee for testing. And there is a fourth package being tested for fingerprints," Smith said. 

The Sheriff's Office told News4Jax that JetBlue aircrafts go to HAECO regularly for service, but the airline does not have flights out of the Lake City Airport. 

Authorities are unclear as to whether the drugs were put on board the aircraft at a domestic or international 

At this point, Smith said, they do not believe the drugs were intended for Lake City, due to the fact that service personnel working on the aircraft were responsible for turning the drugs over.

"We are pretty confident that maybe someone is missing three kilos of cocaine and they are wondering where it is. Well, it's here in Florida," Smith said.

The Lake City Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement Drug Enforcement Agency, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will be assisting the Sheriff's Office in the investigation. 

HAECO and JetBlue are cooperating with the investigation, Smith said.

BRANDY Record Label Fires Back ... YOU'RE WASHED UP, DON'T BLAME US

Brandy's record label just clapped back, saying the singer has no business comparing her contract to slavery ... since it's been more than a decade since she dropped a hit.

A rep for Chameleon Entertainment CEO Breyon Prescott tells Us ... Brandy's allegations are a desperate ploy to drum up publicity instead of facing facts -- her best days are behind her. The rep says Breyon took a risk "signing an artist that hasn't had a chart single success since the early 2000's."

We broke the story ... Brandy sued Chameleon, saying it jeopardized her career when it tried to prevent her from recording and releasing new music, among other things. 

Chameleon's rep also believes Brandy made a bonehead PR move by making the slavery comparison due to racial tensions across the country right now.

We're told Brandy and her lawyer reviewed the contract before signing, so Chameleon finds it odd she's now crying foul.

-- A rep for Brandy tells Us ... if Chameleon believes its own statement, it should have no issue letting her go. The rep said, "Release her from the contract."

No Criminal Prosecution for Kanye West over the Taylor Swift Controversy

For the past few days, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have been in the line of fire for recording a phone conversation with Taylor Swift without her knowledge, which, as per California laws, is illegal. However, TMZ now reports that Kim and Kanye will not be facing criminal prosecution for this act of theirs, as Taylor Swift was aware that her phone conversation with Kanye was being 'overheard'.

Apparently, the conversation on Kanye's end was on the speaker phone where producer Rick Rubin's voice too can be heard many a time. This means that Swift was aware that she was being overheard and thus Kanye was not violating the law by recording it.

While Hollywood celebs are divided in their support towards Kanye and Taylor, all eyes are on the case to see how it will unravel in the coming days.

"Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta" star Stevie J says Joseline Hernandez is out to ruin his character, and calls her allegations he molested his 6-year-old daughter ... a sick attempt at revenge.

Stevie remained quiet about the claim until Wednesday when he filed for, and was granted, a temporary restraining order against Hernandez. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Stevie calls Joseline volatile, jealous and says she's filled with an evil sense of revenge after their nasty split. 

The order says Joseline must stay at least 200 yards away from Stevie, but she can still pick up her Rolex and diamond ring from his house ... as long as the cops come too.
